“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” Revelation 13:5‑6
We have covered the 42 months fairly well. One more thing I might add. The 42 months equal three and a half years. As someone pointed out 3.5 is one half of the number seven which usually symbolizes perfection. One more possibility here is that the Beast only uses his overt authority half the time – then the other half he doesn’t have to. We asked how the Beast blasphemed the name of God.
How did the Beast blaspheme the name of God?
The true name of God is I am becoming that which I decide to become. Those who follow the Beast have the name of the Beast in their foreheads.
Now go to the first verse of the next chapter – chapter 14 verse 1. What is in the forehead of those who sing the song of the 144,000? The name of God.
Is this interesting or what? We are told that at the end of the age there will be two groups of people. There is a great majority of people who will have the mark and name of the Beast in their forehead and the other group who have the Song will have the name of God in their forehead.
So what is the name of the Beast?
This answer will offend many people new age and old age, but the name of the Beast is I AM. The difference between I AM and I AM BECOMING was talked about somewhat in The Immortal, but for now just think about it. How does the Beast of unjust authority want you to see yourself? As I AM (standing still – easy to control), or I AM BECOMING (I am changing and improving and therefore difficult to control)?”
Let’s do some word associations with the two names.
- I AM
- I am standing still.
- I am not progressing.
- I am creating no disturbance.
- I am not learning.
- I am not doing.
- I am looking to the next world instead of this.
- I am letting others decide for me.
- I am not planning or controlling my own future and destiny.
- I have no initiative.
- I have no explanations for anything.
- I have no questions.
- I am not seeking or searching.
- I need no greater knowledge, I have and know all that I ever will.
- I am perfect and there is no room for improvement.
- If you can control me today then you can control me tomorrow.
- I am an easy mark!
- I AM BECOMING
- I am becoming the opposite of all the above and more
- You cannot control me because you cannot understand me unless you BECOME with me and if you BECOME with me we push each other up the celestial ladder rather than step on one another.
- If an unjust authority controls me today then he may not tomorrow because I AM BECOMING.
- I will be the new and improved me tomorrow and I just may control myself.
This thought sends a lightening bolt of fear into the heart of the Beast. He knows that when he hears the true name of God that “he hath but a short time.” (Revelation 12:12)
Thus the Beast of unjust authority hates the name of God and seeks to instill his own version on an unthinking humanity thus turning otherwise intelligent people into controllable ‘Beasts’ of burden.
We are also told that the Beast blasphemes those that dwell in heaven. How does he do this? He takes those great souls who have served mankind and then claims to know what they would say and do if they were here. Unjust blind authority thus uses the names of the just and does that which is unjust.
The preacher may say “Jesus wants you to give me your money.” This blasphemes the name of Jesus. The preacher has no idea what Jesus wants. The politician seeking control may say Abraham Lincoln would approve this bill when he would roll over in his grave if he knew his name was associated with it. The activist may say “this is what Martin Luther King wanted, when maybe that’s not what he wanted at all. Thus does the Beast of authority use the earned authority of “those in heaven” to increase his unearned blind authority.
Verse 7 reads:
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Revelation 13:7
Thus the Beast has made war with the Saints (the sincere seekers of truth) and has overpowered them by suffocating their power to become and force them to conform with the status quo (I AM) or suffer to the full extent of the law.
Verses 8 and 9 read:
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. Revelation 13:8-9
All shall kiss up to the Beast except those whose names are written in the book of life. Remember in The Immortal John said to pay very close attention to how he worded things? That applies here. Notice he just doesn’t say “those in the book of life” but those whose “names” are in the book of life.
How does your name get in the Book of life? It gets there because your name is a living name. Those who have the name of the Beast in their forehead are not in the book of life because without decision there is no life. If you are not becoming what you decide to become you are on the path of destruction and non livingness, but if you are BECOMING WHAT YOU DECIDE TO BECOME you are alive and becoming more alive and progressing and evolving. You are then in the book of life and will not kiss up to (or worship) the Beast.
The phrase “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” symbolizes the fact that the Christ or God in us must be slain by the Beast as part of our evolution. When we spend a period of time under the power of the Beast and seem to be apart from God and then when we learn the truth and return as did the prodigal son then we find that Christ raises from the grave and our true parents have never abandoned us and our joy over our reunion with our true home is truly full.
Finally verses 9 and 10 read:
If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:9-10
Someone mentioned that this seems to be the law of karma at work and so it is and is a Biblical proof of reincarnation, but doesn’t the placement of this phrase seem out of place? Why does John bring this up?
We have all been under the authority of the Beast at one time or another.
We have all been under the authority of the Beast at one time or another – either in this life or in past lives and have accumulated much negative karma because of it. This is the “patience and the faith of the saints.” In other words this is the reason many good people have to go through so much pain and tribulation like Elizabeth in the book. She is great person in this life, but a victim of the authority of the Beast in past lives who even tortured people to death because she was an I AM that let others decide what she was becoming.
This doctrine of the Beast and the way to overcome him may be the most important thing you will learn in this life.
This doctrine of the Beast and the way to overcome him may be the most important thing you will learn in this life for if you learn all keys of knowledge and the mysteries of the universe, but have no power to decide or become, what fate then is in store for you but frustration and disintegration into death?
The universal question is always before us and must be answered internally again and again.
To become or not to become – that is the question.

The Immortal is the story of an average truth seeker who stumbles across a fascinating teacher, only to discover that the man is John, the Beloved, the Revelator, an Apostle of Jesus, perhaps the most mysterious man in history, comes alive in this book. Legend has it that John never died and still roams the earth as a teacher. John finds JJ Dewey, the main character, to teach him the Twelve Keys of Knowledge to prepare the world for the new age of peace. The first question addressed in Book I is WHO OR WHAT AM I? The student gives all the standard answers…and they are all wrong. The lead character then realizes he is under the tutorage of no ordinary teacher and must apply himself in a quest for knowledge.
"The Beast" on this, and following pages, is taken from the initial writings by J.J. Dewey to the Keys of Knowledge discussion forum on the Internet. Eventually this became a chapter in The Unveiling which is an indepth, and totally unique explanation of the symbols and meaning of the book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible and the New Testament. From Amazon:After almost 2000 years the key to understanding The Book of Revelation is finally manifest and it is not what you have been taught.First, it is important to understand common interpretations that are revealed to not be true. Among them are:
- The Beast is not a powerful Hitler type worldwide dictator.
- The mark of the beast has nothing to do with bar codes or a chip implanted in your hand or head.
- The letters to the seven churches have little to do with the seven churches.
- The two witnesses are not two prophets who will magically appear.
- When John said that the things in it will “shortly come to pass” he did not mean it would take 2000 years but he meant a short time just as we interpret the phrase.
The real meaning of the book is nothing like students have been taught but contains teachings in symbolic code disguised as an end of the world scenario to insure it would be included in the canon as we now have it. These teachings, previously hidden from view, tell the aspiring disciple how to tread the path that the Master has outlined. This is why the book was called the “Unveiling of Jesus Christ,” commonly mistranslated as "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" - or in short "The Book of Revelation."
